BSHRM Honoured for Elevating HR and Enhancing Workplaces Receives SHRM’s Prestigious 2024 Platinum Excel Award

Nassau, The Bahamas — June 4, 2025 — The Bahamas Society for Human Resource Management ("BSHRM”) has been awarded SHRM’s Platinum Excel Award for 2024, a testament to the chapter’s consistent efforts to strengthen the profession. BSHRM earned the recognition through impactful community programs, cross-sector collaboration, and a strong commitment to HR education. SHRM CEO Johnny C. Taylor, Jr. described the award as a mark of focus, innovation, and determination. With this achievement, BSHRM will gain broader exposure and enhanced tools to support its members and stakeholders. BSHRM President Lashanta Smith noted, “We don’t do the work for recognition. We do it to raise the standard. This Platinum Excel Award affirms that our strategy is working, and how committed we are to using HR as a force for good in Bahamian workplaces and communities.“
